Shannon Golden-Schubert
Advancement Strategist
Shannon Golden-Schubert is Advancement Strategist at Climate Democracy Initiative (CDI), where she leads philanthropic strategy across foundation relations and donor stewardship.
She came to advancement after 15 years practicing IP transactions law, closing over $150 million in deals for clients ranging from venture-backed startups to Los Alamos National Laboratory. The work taught her to read complex rooms, translate between technical and relational registers, and earn trust that survives hard conversations.
A Certified Fund Raising Manager credentialed by the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, Shannon also holds a JD from the University of Houston Law Center, a BA from Bryn Mawr College, and dual bar licenses in California and Colorado. She serves on the board of Augustana Arts.
Shannon works at CDI because a functioning democracy and a livable natural world are the ground everything else stands on, and because this is the work she wants her career to count toward.
A 30-year Boulder resident and mom of four, Shannon spends her off-hours on runways, at galleries, in symphony halls — and, when the mood strikes, chases EDM sets.
