Shannon's fluency with complex institutions and high-stakes negotiation was forged on deals totaling hundreds of millions during her 15 years practicing IP law, and counseling tech and biotech companies — from startups to Los Alamos National Laboratory. She brings that same rigor and relationship discipline to donor stewardship, foundation engagement, and ensuring CDI's philanthropic pipeline reflects the resilience and seriousness its mission demands.
Shannon holds the Certified Fund Raising Manager credential from the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, a JD from the University of Houston Law, a BA from Bryn Mawr College, and holds law licenses in California and Colorado. A 30-year Boulder resident and board member of Augustana Arts, she is deeply rooted in Colorado's civic life.
