Dave Munk brings 30 years of rural electric utility, climate action, and equity experience to the CDI team. He has been a member-elected director on the Holy Cross Energy board for 14 years and served for five years as Board Chair. Holy Cross is a rural electric cooperative featuring a highly democratic utility structure and is a nationally recognized leader among all utilities in the clean energy transition.
Dave is a forty-year resident of rural Colorado, and has been part of a five generation Western Slope family by marriage. In addition to his work with rural utilities, Dave has been involved with rural and climate issues in his state and nationally. He is focused on the national Cooperative Extension System and community engagement program design at CDI, and is connected to a broad network of local activists across the country to advance energy democracy and equity efforts in support of CDI work to bridge the Rural-Urban Divide, increase democratic participation, and strengthen community vitality across rural America.
