Dave Munk

Dave Munk brings 30 years of rural electric utility, climate action, and equity experience to the CDI team. He has been a member-elected director on the Holy Cross Energy board for 14 years and is currently Board Chair. Holy Cross is a rural electric cooperative featuring a highly democratic utility structure and is a nationally recognized leader among all utilities in the clean energy transition.

Dave is a forty-year resident of rural Colorado, and has been part of a five generation Western Slope family by marriage for thirty of those years. In addition to his work with rural utilities, Dave has been involved with rural and climate issues in his state and nationally. He is connected to an extensive network of local activists across the country on energy democracy and equity efforts, which will support CDI work to bridge the Rural-Urban Divide and advance the development of Democracy 4.0 in America’s rural communities.
